If you are getting married for a third time, it may feel like you have been there and done it all before. However, just because you have been down the aisle before, it doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to feel special and beautiful. Check out our handy guide on things to consider when choosing your wedding dress for your third wedding.
Can I wear a white dress for my third wedding?
A perfectly understandable and commonly asked question, the answer of course being yes, of course you can wear white. OK, so historically, white was the colour of virginity, but who in this and age really believes that any bride is a virgin!
If you really don’t feel comfortable, however, don’t worry, there are plenty of alternative colours to choose from, such as ivory or cream. If you’re feeling adventurous why not try a more daring colour, maybe with a hint of pink or lavender.
Can I wear a veil for my third wedding?
Yes, of course you can!
Again, the bridal veil is intended to symbolise purity and innocence – the idea being that the groom would not see his bride until he ‘unveiled’ her. And again, this is a very outdated concept! If you are a mature bride, we would recommend staying away from blusher veils, the kind that cover your face.
If you’re not quote sure, why not try a tiara or flowers in your hair instead?
Should I wear a dress or a suit to my third wedding
This is entirely your decision and should be decided based on what you feel most comfortable with. If you are a mature bride, there is no shame at all in opting for a stylish trouser suit, or a skirt and jacket combo, it’s all about what works for you!
